Announcing Virtual Motorsports Stock Hatch Series 5!

Back for the second time in the Virtual Motorsports 2013 Season, the Stock Hatch Series reaches it's fifth installment on this site, bringing yet another roster of hatchback cars but this time, each car has a specified build to race. There's five cars to choose from and they still include a lot of adjustables also, such as aerodynamics, these cars average at Mid-A Class using their set builds. Featuring the 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta, the 2004 Honda Civic Type-R, the 2010 Kia Forte Koup SX, the 2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed3 along with the 2002 Saab 9-3 Aero. Horsepower stays around the 300hp mark for these cars, with little difference in power for these cars, they weight in roughly at 2,700lbs in total. These cars are easy to drive, hard to master

Racing on Mondays at 19:00 CDT / 01:00 BST / 10:00 AEST, the series will travel the globe in what can be seen as being three distinct legs that break up the schedule geographically. The series will begin in the home of micro cars, particularly some famous hatchbacks, Japan where Suzuka Grand Prix opens the Series, before staying in Japan to visit Twin Ring Motegi Full. Then it's off to Europe starting with Spain, Catalunya National hosting race 3 before the UK circuit of Silverstone International for race 4. Bernese Alps Festival will entertain us in the 5th race of the Series before the lone American race at Maple Valley Full Reverse for race 6. The last two races take place in Germany, with the first stop being at Nurburgring Grand Prix and the final race of the Series at Hockenheimring Full. This particular series features both long and short configurations of their environments, taking advantage of each of the cars strengths and weaknesses to deliver quite unpredictable racing.


4 championships will be up for contention within this series, each applying to a drivers own particular set of circumstances. All drivers will be entered into the Drivers Championship and this will be the main focus of the series, however, there are additional championships for whether the driver is entering as a team effort, or as a single entry effort, where they will be entered into the Teams and Privateers Championships respectively. Finally, all drivers that are brand new to the Stock Hatch event will contest a special championship exclusive to them alone known as the Rookies Championship. Each driver will have at least two championships to enter so there is doing something for all to race for.


Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature DLC, in-game credits and gift cars to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Drivers Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available, with the overall winner of the Championship also gaining the Porsche Expansion Pack with either a unicorn car of their choice or a DLC pack too. Not only that, the top 5 in the Teams, Privateers and Rookies Championships will receive a share of the credits, with the winners in each receiving a choice of either a unicorn car or a DLC pack. In addition, for all drivers that complete the series with 100% attendance (attending 7 out of 8 races), a random draw will take place to determine who receives either a unicorn car or a DLC pack.

Series 5 of the Stock Hatch event will begin on the 1st July and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 19th August. 8 weeks of intense racing against all manner of skill levels in a series that is very good for those that want to learn their trade and get faster and more consistent by racing with like minded individuals.
